It’s IKEA’s ₩13,000 (~$9) 2-port charger. Seven months in, still going strong, and I’d buy it again. One thing though: it’s not a GaN charger. At least there’s no official source that says so. Use one port alone and you get 45W. Plug in both and it splits to 22W each.

GaN, According to AI. Then Not GaN.
I wondered about this when I bought it. 45W, two ports, this price — is it GaN (gallium nitride)?
The box didn’t say. The front just reads 2x USB-C, PD (45W).
The box tells you exactly two lines.
So I asked an AI. It said yes, GaN. Very confident about it. Later I asked again. This time: no, not GaN.
That very confident first answer turned into the exact opposite the second time.
That was baffling. So this time I went by the official sources.

None of the official sources mention GaN, and I couldn’t find a teardown confirming it either. So my read is: not GaN.
The size backs this up too. IKEA’s official spec puts it at about 54×32×70mm. Cult of Mac’s review also noted it “might not be the smallest 45W charger out there.”
So, Is It Any Good?
Yes. I’ve been using it to charge my phone and watch together for seven months.

There’s one thing worth knowing about this charger: plug in two devices and the speed splits in half. One port alone maxes out at 45W; both ports, 22W each. That matches what it feels like in daily use.

No GaN, but the spec sheet does its job.
Per IKEA’s official page, it supports PD 3.0, QC4+, and PPS, plus overcurrent, short-circuit, and overheat protection.
The detail worth noting: PPS output drops to a max of 11V, 2.4A when both ports are in use. If your phone relies on PPS for fast charging, it’ll be noticeably slower with both ports occupied. That matches the “cut in half” feeling I get in practice.
What I’d Change
The charging speed. Since I usually plug in both the phone and the watch, it runs in dual-port mode most of the time — 22W per port. I wish it were a bit faster.
Per spec, if I need the phone to charge fast, I can just unplug the other cable for a while. With only one port in use, it’s back to 45W.
Would I Buy It Again?
Yes. For ₩13,000 (~$9), dual USB-C ports with 45W on a single port — it earns its price. But if you’re expecting GaN, you’ll be disappointed. If compact size matters to you, or you need to fast-charge two devices at once, a pricier GaN charger is the better call.
If the charging speed were just a bit higher, it’d be hard to ask for more.
