Direct Answer & TL;DR

On October 17 I went to Hanoi with a friend and bought snacks for the kids at the Lotte Mart in the basement of Lotte Center Hanoi. On the family trip two weeks earlier, the kids liked Nabati Richoco most out of what we bought, so I took more of it this time. The table below is so you can use this post alone in the store: the text to look for on the package, and the prices from the Lotte Mart Vietnam online store.

Back at Lotte Mart after two weeks

On the family trip in early October, I bought a few snacks at the Lotte Mart in Lotte Mall West Lake (#9). The kids liked the brown box, Nabati Richoco, best. Two weeks later, in Hanoi with a friend, I picked up plenty of Richoco at the Lotte Mart in the Lotte Center basement, and chose the rest as snacks for the kids too. What I’ve actually eaten so far: both Nabati flavors, Gouté and the corn snack. For the other four, I only list the packaging and online store info.

Nabati wafers: Richoco and Cheese

Nabati is an Indonesian brand (made by PT Kaldu Sari Nabati Indonesia) and Nabati Vietnam imports it. In the 300g boxes, brown is chocolate (Richoco) and yellow is cheese (Richeese). The bottom of the Richoco box prints 320g (16g × 20), so there are twenty individually wrapped packs inside.

It’s a wafer, and Richoco tastes strongly of chocolate and Cheese strongly of cheese.

Orion Gouté Crème Yellow Cheese

Gouté is an Orion snack. The blue Yellow Cheese box is a sandwich biscuit with cheese cream between the layers, and the bottom of the box says ‘Vị phô mai mật ong’ (cheese honey flavor) in Vietnamese. The online store lists it as a new product. To me it tasted like a cheese sandwich cracker.

Fried corn snack, Bắp Chiên Giòn

Bắp Chiên Giòn means “crispy fried corn”. I bought two kinds: a large white bag and a small yellow bag from Hùng Cường. The taste is close to Korea’s Bat Dureong, a puffed-corn snack. I couldn’t find it in the online store, so in the store’s snack aisle, look for the word ‘Bắp’ on the package.

Four I haven’t tried yet

Cal Cheese is a snack from Mayora. The orange bag is the cheese wafer, and the orange box with a stick illustration is the cheese roll. The online product photo shows a box of sticks. The item name says 153G, while the box in the photo says 170g. I couldn’t find the cheese roll in the online store.

Choice L is Lotte Mart Vietnam’s own brand, launched in 2016. Bánh Dừa Nướng means “roasted coconut cracker”. The ingredients on the product page are coconut flesh, glutinous rice flour and sugar, and the box carries a ‘Đặc sản Quảng Nam’ (Quang Nam specialty) stamp. Besides the 250g box, there is also a 180g bag.

L’ANGFARM is a specialty brand with a store in Da Lat, and it sells dried fruit in two types, chewy and crunchy. The bag I bought is a mix of several fruits and vegetables. The online store has several single-item products, such as L’ANGFARM dried mango, dried banana and taro chips, but I couldn’t find a bag of the same mix.
